Affiliate Members - WELCOME!
A reorganization of SLOAOR’s Affiliate Membership categories promises an even more successful partnership with our REALTOR® members in 2010.
We are pleased to offer a simpler and more equitable structure going forward with two categories of Affiliate Membership.
Individual Affiliate Members will be in direct communication with the SLOAOR and accrue all the benefits of Affiliate membership.
Company Company Memberships require the designation of a Primary Member who will be in direct communication with the SLOAOR. The Primary Member can designate up to four Secondary Members in the firm and is responsible for notifying the SLOAOR of any changes in members. The Company Membership belongs in the firm with SLOAOR benefits accruing to those designated as Primary or Secondary members within that firm.
Affiliate members are individuals or firms not engaged in the Real Estate Profession, but who have interests concerning real estate and are in sympathy with the objectives of the Association.
As a member of the San Luis Obispo Association of REALTORS® you are entitled to the following:
- Attendance at all Association functions: (Please designate the person who will be the representative.)
- General Association Meetings. These meetings are informational and generally at no cost to you. Introduction at marketing meetings is encouraged.
- Fund-raisers for the community.
- Installation – Fun, Laughter, and Prizes
- At any function that has an entry charge, the Affiliate Representative(s) is charged the same price as REALTOR® members.
2. Self Promotion:
- Name in ASSN/ MLS Roster. (NO COST)
- Name on San Luis Obispo Association of REALTORS® Web page.
- Distribute Flyers at MLS and General Association Meetings (NO COST)
- Introductions prior to MLS Marketing Meeting.
- Flyers advertised through newsletter. Call the Association office for further information
- Periodic Announcements can be made. (Please clear with the President or the Vice President)
- Affiliate Roster to be distributed to inquiries.
- Flyers advertised through “New Realtor® Member Packets.” Call the Association office for further information.
- Adverstise on the SLOAOR website.
- Connect with REALTORS® at local Marketing Sessions and Property Caravans
- Network with REALTORS® via sponsorship opportunities at Education Courses, Orientation and Committee meetings.
- Stay abreast of industry news & trends via the REALTOR® Edge (SLOAOR online newsletter).
- Inform our members of your industry specific specialty's via our Affiliate Spotlight.
- Affiliate Members, at their option, can join the California Assn. of REALTORS, as an Affiliate, and enjoy many member benefits, including the Legal Q & A's, Legal Hotline, Insurance benefits, etc.
AFFILIATE FUND (optional) $40.00 (to help provide services and Prizes)
Membership with the California Association of REALTORS® (optional) and its member benefits.
