AFFILIATE LIAISON The Affiliate Liaison acts as the intermediary between the REALTOR® community and the Affiliates, gathering their collective talents to assist other Committees, to organize and promote social and educational activities not already addressed by other committees and to provide  Affiliate members a platform within which to interact with each other in the spirit of better business relations.

BUDGET - The Budget Committee oversees SLOAOR's financial affairs and budget.

EDUCATION & PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT - Promotes , provides and develops timely, high-quality educational opportunities  for                                                                                                                                                                         members. Provides courses that will assist members in maximizing their ability to conduct their individual businesses successfully.  This committee plans seminars, continuing education and workshops throughout the year and coordinates with the AE to calendar these events.

TECHNOLOGY - Investigates and promotes new technology for the membership and association, and assists in its implementation.                                                                                                                                                                

EVENTS - Plans and conducts the annual fundraiser, which provides funds for our selected charity, and other events. Promotes participation by REALTOR® and affiliate members.                                                                                                                                                 

PUBLIC RELATIONS- Promotes the REALTOR® image and is available for REALTOR® functions to document REALTOR® involvement and relay it to the press.                                                                                                                                                                               

YOUNG PROFESSIONALS - Our X & Y Generation of REALTOR® members and Affiliates getting together to discuss the Real Estate Profession and its future.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                          

GREENHOUSE EFFECTS  -   Coordinates the EXPO, informs our agents about Green Features in the MLS, Green Tips, Green Forums, continually drives home the need for educating our members regarding having knowledge about green features in homes.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                         

LOCAL GOVERNMENT RELATIONS/GOV’T AFFAIRS - Monitors city/county government where decisions are made affecting private property ownership and benefits. Works with our GAD and local government providing input and feedback directly through workshops, committees and appointments. Recommends positions on issues that should be addressed and counsels the Board of Directors regarding official SLOAOR policies.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                              

PROPERTY MANAGEMENT - To coordinate SLOAOR property managers and HOA’s, addressing, with the city, the various ordinances and conditions that affect rental and leased properties, and maintain a contact database for those entities that function in the city of SLO. This committee and  could rise to be a trusted voice for the REALTORS® and the public, and one that is respected by the city, when it comes to issues regarding rental and leased properties.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                      

COMMERCIAL - Engage commercial brokers to address the needs of this segment of our membership. Further develop the SLOAOR commercial web page, address their needs at CAR, and the commercial brokers needs in the MLS database.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                       

MLS/CCRMLS -  Attends weekly MLS meetings and encourages marketing of properties. Also…chairs local MLS committee as meetings are needed. / Attends regional CCRMLS meetings on an “as needed” basis. Reports back to the Board of Directors with decisions that need to be made for the regional MLS.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                       

PRO-STANDARDS -  Enforces the Code of Ethics of the National Assn. of REALTORS® and conducts ethics and arbitration hearings as referred by the Grievance Committee of the Association. (* Made up of REALTORS® who have had Professional Standards Training.)                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                          

GRIEVANCE -  Analyzes complaints involving alleged violations of the Code of Ethics, membership duty, or bylaws, and makes recommendations regarding disposition of said complaints. (* Made up of REALTORS® who have had Professional Standards Training.)                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                  

LCRC/IMPAC - These trustees make decisions based on where to spend the Political Action Funds that are requested from various entities. (i.e. candidate campaigns, issue campaigns, etc.) You must have contributed to the Political Action Fund in order to sit on this committee.
